1. Why Emilia’s Italy?
Our crafted trips in Italy combine history, culture, food and wine, nature, artisan visits, and more to create a bespoke experience that you cannot find anywhere else. Our biggest satisfaction is delighting our travelers.

2.  Where do the tours go and what is the rhythm of each day?
Venturing off the beaten path and soaking in the culture is the hallmark of who we are.  If you are looking for a city tour that checks off boxes on a list…that’s not us!  We enchant those who are looking for wonderful small towns and who want to discover local artists, foods, history, and culture.  Our days are designed to hit the perfect balance of learning, exploring, and discovering but also having relaxation time to reset and revive.

3.  How many travelers will be in my group?
You can look forward to small groups of 12 or less so that we create the most intimate tour experience and have more opportunity to get unique access to people or places.

4. Are all meals included?
Italian cuisine is known world-wide and we include meals to ensure you are getting the best of local specialties and traditional dishes.  Breakfast is included every day as well as 4 dinners and 5 lunches.  Each breakfast and lunch includes local wines.  Please see the itinerary our Terms and Conditions to understand which of the few lunches or dinners you might have free to explore restaurants on your own.

5.  Are all activities included?
Our trips include 10+ unique activities and are detailed in the itinerary and the Terms and Conditions.  While you don’t have to attend every single activity, we encourage you to do so as they are unique experiences that will provide intimate views into Italian culture, history, wellness, or the fabric of the community. We also add surprises to your trip along the way so be prepared to be wowed!

6. What are the hotels like?
We spend a lot of time making sure the accommodations for your trip capture the character of the place.  Our accommodations range from 4 star hotels with sweeping views to modernized farmhouses to boutique hotels.

7.  What if some activities can’t be done due to bad weather?
Unfortunately, there are times when an activity must be canceled due to weather or other circumstances beyond our control. If this is the case, we always do our best to reschedule the activity or add an activity that is of comparable value.

8. What if I have special food requirements?
We can accommodate most food requirements however, please do indicate this on your registration form and our reservations team will reach out to discuss and confirm.

9. Can I arrive early to the tour or extend it?
Of course!  And our reservation team is happy to help with recommendations or guides.

10.  I’m ready! How do I book?
To book, please complete the booking form and pay the deposit of $500 per person. This deposit will confirm your spot on the tour of your choice. The balance will be due no later than 90 days before the start date of the tour.

11.  What type of payment do you accept?
All deposits and tour payments must be made in US dollars and can be made by bank transfer, credit card, or Zelle. For credit cards, we accept Visa, MasterCard, and American Express. We do not charge an additional fees for credit card payments.

12.  Can you send me a reminder?
We send reminders to you at least a week in advance of when the final payment is due.

13.  What happens to my deposit if I have to cancel?
While we understand that things can change, unfortunately, deposits are nonrefundable. This is due to the deposits Emilia’s Italy pays to hotels, transportation, and activities to secure the booking. Please see our cancellation fees/refunds section of our Terms and Conditions for information regarding refunds once the tour is paid in full.

14.  What if Emilia’s Italy cancels my tour?
Our goal is never to cancel a tour with booked travelers but it may happen for reasons beyond our control. If a tour is canceled due to low enrollment, we will notify you at least 60 days before the start of the tour and your entire payment will be refunded to you within fourteen days after the tour cancellation. Please see our terms and conditions for further explanation of our cancellation policies.

15. Should I purchase trip insurance?

Yes, we recommend trip insurance for all booked travel and if you would like recommendations, our reservations team is happy to help.

16. What is a single supplement fee?
This is the additional fee for those who would like a single room. Half the room cost is already calculated in the trip price. This is the cost if you aren’t sharing a room.

17.  What if there is a change with the euro against the dollar?
Our trip prices are based on an annually set exchange rate. If there is a sudden drastic change in the strength of the dollar, tour prices may change without notice. However, once you have registered for a tour and paid your deposit, your price will not be affected by any price changes, even if there is a price increase before the start date of your tour.
